Amanda Cook & Claire Williams

Saturday, 25 January 2014

The Point, Eastleigh

Amanda and Claire are two of the leading musicians of their generation and at The Point, on Saturday night, they will join forces to present a dazzling programme of music that flaunts the best side of the two plucked instruments.

Amanda, on guitar, and Claire, on harpsichord, will play a varied programme including works by Boccherini, Vivaldi, Dodgson and Hampshire-based composer Vincent Lindsey-Clark. They will perform movements from Rodrigo's popular concerto 'Fantasia Para Un Gentilhombre' and Claire will offer the chance to hear a pair of Scarlatti's Sonatas on their original instrument, which have become more well known through their arrangements for the guitar!
