I aim to produce inspired, confidant and educated guitarists who can take their place in a wider world of musical creation as leaders and as eager participants.

As an actively performing musician I not only bring 50 years of performing, recording and compositional experience to each lesson but also the lessons freshly learnt from last weekend’s concerts.

My students can count on me to bring the best of me to every lesson and when they have an exam, I’m there for them. When they have a performance, I’m there for them and when they need a new guitar I make every effort to help them find the guitar that will best fulfil their personal vision.
